Personal finance on the rise
Wednesday December 12, 2007
The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has released figures for October showing that our total personal finance commitments rose by 7.7%.
The seasonally adjusted figures show an increase of $6.859 billion compared to $6.371 billion in September.
The increase is due to a rise in revolving credit commitments, which rose 9.4%, and fixed lending commitments, which are up 5.6%.
